You know when budget beauty brands hit the nail on the head? Well how about when they do it whilst costing a mere £2. That’s what Natural Collection do! Part of the Boots family this range of budget low cosmetics offer lippys, mascaras, blush and shadow that all sit at that super low price point. When prices drop that low my inner cynic comes rushing out. How do you justify those prices? Are those products any good? This brand has been stocked for years yet I don’t think I’ve ever tried out a single item. Maybe now it’s time?
Being a mascara sceptic I started my investigations there. The Lash Length Mascara* does exactly what it says on the tin, brings those long souped up lashes. It’s thin brush grabs every last lash and extends it to give that lengthen effect. Not just that, the length sticks around all day. Next it was time to test that flush of colour for my cheeks. With the Blushed Cheeks in Pink Cloud* I may have had to pop the colour back into the pan but it was well worth it for this light dusty pink colouring. Again the colour lasts all day, formula is a tad chalky but I can bypass that for the budget price.
Now onto lips. For this I tried the Lip Lines Pencil in Plum* paired with the Moisture Shine Lipstick in Berry Sorbet*. The liner would be a miss in my books, it doesn’t add anything to the look nor is it overly moisturising. That moisture shine lipstick however – thumbs up! Really pigmented, glides onto the lips without transferring over to your teeth in a heartbeat. The colour too is a rich wine, perfect for this time of year and right up my street.
Have you tried anything from Natural Collection before? What are your faves to use?
