On Monday a rare thing happened. Not only was is a bank holiday in the UK *last one of the year sob* I also had a full day off work. I know, I could hear angels singing! To mark this special occasion I went straight into my skincare mask draw and hand picked three treatments to pop on to achieve one thing and one thing only – rebalanced skin. You see the late nights have resulted in grey lacklustre skin that has lost the vitality and elasticity it once had. Dry patches were out in full force and I knew I needed the power of three masks to kickstart my skin back into some good behaviour. Today I’m going to run through the three masks that were called to action, already I can see an improvement in my complexion.
Radiance – for the first step I went in with an oldy but a good, the REN Glycolatic Radiance Renewal Mask. Having not picked up this mask for the best part of half a year, I was happy to see I loved it just as much as I did the very first time I picked this up. The marmalade texture sits on the skin whilst chemically buffing away any dead skin cells leaving behind rejuvenated complexion that already shows signs of having that natural radiance restored.
Clarity – as I only had a couple of chocolate induced breakouts to content with I didn’t want to go in with something too stripping and intense in this second stage. Instead, an all rounder clay mask was needed so obviously it had to be the Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleaning Masque. Containing purifying properties to draw out imperfections alongside aloe vera to keep skin feeling hydrated, you get a big kick of anti oxidant love from this mask and at the end, rebalanced skin.
Hydration – the final step always is hydration, hydration, hydration. Keep skin feeling soft, supple and moisturised. Simples right! For an intense hit of relief I opted for the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Masque. It’s jelly like texture sits on the skin to restore any dry areas whilst tending to specific patches of irritated or sensitive skin. With cucumber, papaya, chamomile, pineapple, sugar maple and aloe to name but a few of the ingredients inside this little pot, you know your skin is going to be taken care of.
Which three masks do you go in with when your skin is in need of some TLC?
