You’d think I would be able to curb my spending and restrict it to happen within the four walls of the glorious Sephora whilst away, oh no think again! Not only did I spend the pennies in that shopping mecca, I also scouted out the Charlotte Tilbury stand in Nordstrom at the Grove and dove straight in. The stand itself is gorgeous the whole redevelopment of the store is bliss and with everything looking oh so tempting I may have picked up more than I initially planned to ;)
First up I got something that was firmly on the top of my list and snapped up the Goddess Skin Clay Mask. Considering it’s new release status into the Charlotte Tilbury line, it has already received a whole lotta love and now I understand why. Promising to regenerate and restore your skin, it’s a clay mask like no other. Forget drying, this is a clay mask with a difference! Thanks to Almond Oil being in the ingredients list you get a hydrating mask that can still detoxify the skin, imperfections are drawn out whilst you skin is left rebalanced and more radiant.
Bumping up the foundation collection in comes the Light Wonder Foundation SPF 15. Again, heard nothing but good things about this air-light formula that blends seamlessly onto the skin to leave a flawless finish. The first few applications were a tad watery, but after this was mixed up it applied like a dream. Giving light to medium coverage that can be built up, it’s already become my daily foundation pick. Wanting to also try out her concealer I picked up the The Retoucher Concealer. In a pen style packaging the clicker on mine seems to act a little timid to dispense a decent coverage concealer to mask imperfections. Honestly – not wowed by this and haven’t noticed anything different compared to the concealers I already have.
More shadows did you say? Don’t mind if I do! Simply unable to resist the new cream shadows I added the Eye to Mesmerise Cream Eye Shadow in Norma Jean to my basket. An almost whipped consistency this blends onto the lid to give a pop of colour that lasts throughout the day. Super pigmented a little goes a long way here and really does give that maximum impact for minimum effort. Norma Jean aka MAC All That Glitters in a cream shadow, fab under a shadow or worn alone. Did I stop there? No. I also bought a Pencil Sharpener. Told ya I couldn’t be stopped ;)
