Is it just me, or are Ulta’s notoriously hard to find? I don’t know whether it’s the areas I specifically stay in or something to do with the store itself, but unearthing one of these beauty havens can be a struggle. Luckily, for a makeup addict like myself I headed straight to Google, scouted one out and drove on over without a moments hesitation. If you’ve never been to an Ulta before it’s like a hybrid between CVS and Sephora, stocked full of drugstore brands alongside some more luxury finds, you get the best of both words. Why did I hot foot my way over there? For Lorac of course ;)
Lorac Pro Palette – oh yes the mighty Lorac Pro Palette is mine! Only a year or so later, thanks to the hype subsiding I was able to get my hands on one of this lusted after palettes. Heck there were even multiple palettes in stock! Filled with 16 shades ranging from neutral to red to purple, all from the matte to shimmer spectrum. It really is as good as they all said and yes, I already wished I picked up the Gold Palette!
Real Techniques Bold Metals 300 Tapered Blush Brush – due to some form of trickey the RT brushes are a heck of a lot cheaper out in the States. I’m talking they changed the pound sign to dollar kind of cheep. Thanks to my NARS Yachiyo Brush shedding like a mother trucker I was on the hunt for something new, being impressed by the new Bold Metals collection I snapped up the tapered blush brush and am happy as punch! A nice small head that dispenses the right about of colour onto the apples of your cheeks – perfection.
Tweezerman Mini Slant Tweezer in Tube – yes I forgot to pack tweezers. One of those items I was determined I wouldn’t need but thanks to some unruly hairs cropping up across my brow I knew I needed to pick some up. Super practical and tiny in size, these are some of the best tweezers I’ve come across and I’m not even sad to have picked up a second pair.
MAC Darkside – although this wasn’t an Ulta purchase I thought I would throw it in for good measure. My MAC wish lists have noticeable diminished over the years however I couldn’t resist adding one more lipstick to the collection. Opting for Darkside this is an amplified creme that gives a good hint of wine/berry goodness to a traditional purple lip. I adore it and it’s a fab addition to my growing purply lipstick stash.
