You knew this was happening. Most worn lipsticks, most worn powder products, next up has to be most worn eyeshadows (don’t expect a foundation one as its contents will be abysmal!) Although there aren’t as many glimmering pans to showcase here, each shade has received a lot of love to result in dips, shape changes and resulted signs of use. I am a shadow floozy and often flit between my favourites and new launches however the above edit showcases those gems that I always fall back on.
Starting at the beginning way back when I was first getting into makeup the majority of my shadows came from MAC. You can’t deny their expansive colour selection and the fact that they were the the standout brand around six years ago. Sitting on the verge of empty is Blanc Type and Ricepaper, both staple shades they act as bases to make colour more vibrant or they can be popped into in inner corner or under the brow bone for a highlight. Everyones neutral best friend that the dipped pan comes from is Satin Taupe. A true classic this works blended out in the crease or smoked out under the lash line. Everyone needs a Satin Taupe in their collection.
Naturally the big palette sitting centre of shot comes from Urban Decay in the form of their Original Naked Palette. Out of the three Naked palettes to hit the beauty world, the classic will always remain my number one pick. With a selection of nudes, a couple of mattes and some of my most used bronzed shadows, this wins every time. Pan dips comes from Virgin, Sin and Smog with Half Baked following quickly behind.
Rogue additions come from NARS and Boujous. The Dual Intensity Eyeshadow in Himalia and Colour Edition 24 Eyeshadow in 03 Petale de Glace are staple daily shadow selections that give wearable washes of colour. The NARS shadow is one of my favourite finds in recent months (yes I love it that much!) and the Bonjous cream to powder finish gives a long lasting look that is a breeze to apply whenever you are in a rush.
