It’s time for my final instalment of the Winter Makeup Series! Although Spring is still a distant memory you can feel the transition beginning, longer days are on the horizon and soon it will be all about pops of colour, bright cheeks, pastel nails and highlighted skin. Before Spring takes over I thought I would share my last Winter look – slightly heavier compared to the rest this is something I reach for if I’m going out for the day and need my makeup to last. A hint more colour on the cheeks and lips whilst bringing back a smidgen of liner yes I have the fear that I’ve already forgotten how to do a winged liner look!
For base I went for my Nars Sheer Glow Foundation which unfortunately is a shade too light (note to self don’t get colour matched whilst you are on holiday!) I can just about get away with it thanks to my pale skin taking over however I may have amped up the bronzer to compensate ;) To keep a natural contour I went for my much loved Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder and teamed this with my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush shock.
Brows were thanks to the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil* which I paired with shadows from the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette*. Keeping things matte and neutral I smoked out the crease but kept the colours very light so as not to look too dramatic. To vamp up the lash line I used the Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen, giving the illusion of fuller lashes without needing to go into a full on cat eye. Finally, the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Berry. Oh boy is this a beaut. A wash of berry goodness without the upkeep of a full matte lip!
