February has arrived! Sun rise times are beginning to creep in earlier with the average day hitting over nine hours of light thanks to the sun sticking around to almost 5pm. Can you tell I like my daylight? ;) Aside from counting down until I can leave work with a blue sky outside I’ve also been cranking out some new makeup bits to help give that missing glow back to my tired skin. From illuminators to a couple of sneaky new brush purchases it’s a rounded radiance boosting bunch.
Bobbi Brown Eye Blender Brush – if you ever wanted a blending brush that felt like butter on your lids, look no further then this domed shape beauty from Bobbi Brown. Expensive? Yes. However worth every penny and brush hair thanks to it’s ability to ensure no harsh lines will ever remain from your shadows.
Louise Young LY39 Doomed Shadow Brush – another brush you say? I was on the cusp of including my new Bobbi Brown Powder Brush however in the interest of variety I instead went for this flat top offering from Louise Young. To pop shadow onto the lid, under the eye and even blend out in the crease, this is multifunctional whilst being super soft to use.
Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer – I’ve loved Laura Mercier primers for years with their oil free version featuring in multiple repurchase posts. Although I remain loyal to it’s moisturising and foundation lasting powers, I recently picked up the radiance counterpart to impart that glow back into my lacklustre skin. Just as hydrating with a hint of glow – primer perfection.
Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel – with my Aurelia Miracle Cleanser biting the dust for the second time it was time to add a newbie into my skincare routine. In comes the Oskia Cleansing Gel which melts into my skin to remove every last trace of makeup whilst cleansing the area. From the scent to the texture my skin adores it and so do I.
bareMinerals Marvellous Moxi Lipstick in Speak Your Mind – my go to lippy pick for the past four weeks has to be this pinky hue from bareMinerals. A wearable everyday shade this has a hint more colour compared to my usual nudes meaning it gives more life to my dull complexion.
Clinique Sculpting Highlight Stick in Hefty Highlight* – I have a new highlighter love and I haven’t looked back since. New release from Clinique this is one half of their latest contour duo to hit the shops later in Feb. An icey blue toned highlight this is flattering on the skin whilst looking natural without too much sparkle. The fact I’ve picked it up everyday since it dropped means it’s been love from first use.
