Round up round up, it’s time for the second instalment of my Winter Makeup Series. Similar to the last offering I’ve opted for a minimal look with a light base and no eyeliner. Although for some this may seem like a more Summertime appropriate picking, heavy makeup during the cold months just results in my skin looking like it’s been starved of moisturiser for the past 20 years. Not a good look. This combination of products is my go to selection come the weekend, no fuss items that deliver and are quick to apply. Simples.
For my base it was all about the light and breathable. Again the Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer made an appearance but this time it was paired with my much loved DiorSkin Nude BB Cream aka heaven in a tube. Teamed with subtle contour thanks to my new Bobbi Brown Powder Brush and a blush pick that packs colour and radiance base was done!
Eye makeup called for an oldie but a goody in terms of the Bourjois Colour Edition Eyeshadow in 03 Petale de Glace and the Original Urban Decay Naked Palette. A soft wash of colour with a hint of definition blended out in the crease gives a wearable smokey eye that doesn’t look overdone. To keep the glow and light I completed the look with a soft dusting of the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Illuminating Powder Gelee in Crystal Baby. Who said Winter had to be all about heavy foundation with powder on top?
