Updated Skincare Routine

updated skincare routine

When it comes to my skincare routine, I tend to stick to the products I know deliver results. After battling with red and bumpy skin at the beginning of 2014 I refrain from mixing things up too much in fear that the problem areas will resurface. Instead it’s a routine filled with tried and tested products that help keep my skin clear, calm and *mostly* blemish free.

That being said – your skin doesn’t stay the same throughout the seasons. It can become dry, agitated or even sensitive, adapting to these changes is vital if you want to retain your happy complexion. In situations like these I switch up a couple of select products, no need for an entirely new routine. Instead find where there pitfalls are and adjust accordingly.

My first problem came in the form of dry skin. I found throughout Winter, areas around my nose and forehead were becoming increasingly dry causing my foundation to look patchy. My morning moisturise just wasn’t holding up so I gave the Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream* a whirl. Promising immediate nourishment and hydration for all skin types this sinks in quickly without leaving a greasy film behind yet manages to banish those dry areas. After a mere two days I could already see a great difference.

Secondly, a new cleanser. Not added due to a void in my skincare routine unless you can count my Aurelia one running out I decided to finally give this cult product a try. The Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel contains a mixture of natural ingredients to cleanse the skin whilst melting away any remaining makeup left on my face. I use this as a second cleanser and it’s blended seamlessly into my routine leaving my skin feeling refreshed after cleansing.
