Look at me rocking a black lace top, red lip and lots of glitter on the lid – it must be time for another Party Makeup Series ;) This week it’s all about the shimmers, reserved for those special occasions where you really want to embrace the Christmas sparkle. One palette that doesn’t shy away from that luminous finish is the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Eye Palette in Pink Opal*. Complete with a range of shades packing that super glittery look, it’s perfect for the party season. I concentrated on the middle section of the palette where the bronze tones live, packed on the lid with a base underneath the colours shine through and light up your eyes.
To balance out the look and ensure I didn’t resemble too much of a disco ball I darkened up my eye with a winged liner, I also used my trusty Benefit Bad Gal Kohl Pencil to smoke up the waterline. I find that the dark liner works really well next to the shimmery shadows as it creates a flattering contrast. For fluttery lashes that demanded attention I popped on a few layers of the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara* which creates volume and drama. To complete the Christmas party look it had to be with a bright and bold red lip. This gorgeous lippy is from the luxurious Giorgio Armani range and is their Rouge d’Armani Lipstick in 400. A classic red this looks gorgeous when applied and lasts throughout the night.
