During my room clear out the other week I had a bit of a rethink and ponder when it came to the way I stored my skincare. I found that I had a large amount of items on display (gathering dust daily), a handful of backups in a draw, out of season products in a box & even more items stored away that hadn’t been looked at for months. Enough was enough and the only way to deal with this amount of stuff was to try and keep it all in once place, in doing so I can clearly see everything I own, anything I don’t touch will be hot footing it’s way over to a friends house and the only items out on display are my daily essentials.
Housed in this white whicker basket, aside from perfumes, these are the only items that have broken out from a draw and can be seen in my room. What a difference it makes to have less products on display – the madness is finally hidden away! By containing everything within one place it’s easier to manage, I can ensure my essentials are items that are used regularly and I can see if anything might be missing, just incase I need another excuse to go shopping ;) As you can see this basket is missing evening cleansers and masks but these items live safely stored away in my bathroom.
Each morning I reach for my Clarins Cleanser, Pixi Glow Tonic, Caudalie Beauty Elixir, Effaclar Duo and Goat Milk Moisturiser, the dream team as I like to call it ;) For emergencies I’ve got my Origins Super Spot Remover and for those days when I remember I’ve got an eye cream and cooling rollerball to help reduce any puffy areas. For evenings it’s all about the serum and oil duo act to keep things hydrated, radiant and any pesky blemishes at bay. In terms of weekly treatments you will spy my holy grail Alpha H Liquid Gold and Origins Drink Up Intensive aka the only things that will help to keep my skin looking normal.
What are your daily essentials? Would love to know what items you use daily to keep your skin in tip top shape :)
