Another wish list item bites the dust – Zoeva Brushes welcome to my over expanding and never ending collection! A set of eight brushes ranging from face through to eyes, there is no denying that their rose gold offering is gorgeous. Not being one who particularly needs to pick up anymore brushes, this was an indulgent purchase that I splurged and bought for my holiday. It counts as a holiday essential…right? ;) With a pouch that looks just as luxe as the brushes themselves, it makes a great travelling buddy and keeps everything neat and tidy. Although it may not look roomy, this has managed to contain the ridiculous number of brushes that I just had to bring away with me.
Considering this is my first foray into the Zoeva brand I was anxious to see how the quality faired up in comparison to my much loved RT brushes. The price point I think is pretty reasonable considering the quality and the bristles themselves are super soft. So soft in fact I can’t bare to get them dirty just yet! I have heard a few grumblings on Twitter that the rose gold ferrel has become rusty after just a handful of washes, luckily Zoeva have confirmed that they have fixed this fault with their recent batch of brushes and any brushes that do have a defeat can be replaced.
In terms of my stand out favs there are four contenders, starting with the 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek this is angled brush perfection. The white bristles look as soft as a pillow and the slanted shape makes it a winner when it comes to contour or blush. Next is the 106 Powder Brush and all you have to do is look at it to see how beaut it is. I can imagine this will be a firm favourite for most people with it’s big and fluffy shape dusting a light coverage over powder over your face. The last two are eye brushes, the 227 Soft Definer and 231 Luxe Petit Crease will be your secret weapon when it comes to achieving an effortless smokey eye. Using the 231 to concentrate colour into the crease of your eye the 227 will blend everything out to ensure no harsh lines are left behind.
As you can see Zoeva have well and truly captured my heart and I have a feeling they will be featuring quite heavily in my brush collection from now on ;)
