You would have thought by now the products I accumulated whilst I was away would be starting to dwindle, but oh how wrong you would be. I still have a size-able bounty to share with you so without further ado I am going to get stuck in. After spending Tuesday talking you through my primer picks, it made sense that today I share with you next item on the makeup menu – oh yes, foundations. Three primers can only be suitable matched with four foundations…right?! In my defense, one was a repurchase, two were to fix colour match issues and one was an wish list indulgence. Starting with my current base of choice, at Duty Free I finally got the Diorskin Nude BB Cream in my correct shade. 001 Light is not for me but 002 Fair is something simply beautiful. It blends a dream, masks imperfections all whilst looking natural on the skin. As you can tell, the love affair is going strong!
The second repurchase I got from Duty Free was the infamous Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. This now marks my second bottle which is almost unheard of when it comes to me and foundations. I picked up the shade B30 which is a tad dark however it’s the same shade as my previous bottle. As the consistency of the foundation is quite sheer it means that the darker shade doesn’t look too drastic. It complements the colour I caught whilst I was away and helps me to look a bit more healthy on days when my skin is looking a tad lackluster. The third and final Jouer product I bought on my travels was the Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint in the shade Glow. The matte offering was looking a tad dry on my skin so I opted for the luminizing base for the summer months. So far so good and when mixed in with the matte counterpart, something truly magical happens.
Finally my wish list purchase came in the form of Nars Sheer Glow in the shade Mont Blanc Light 2. The sales assistant in Nordstrom that colour matched me is officially the only person that I have trusted to match me. She popped on a moisturiser, allowed the foundations to sit on my skin to see if they changed colour and instantly could see the pinkness in my skin so knew to counteract it. Hello impressed! When I got back to my hotel room afterwards I was in love with how my skin looked. So much so I went back the next day and bought the highlighter she popped on me too ;) I am waiting to snap up a pump for this before I move it into my daily rotation but so far, things are looking positive!
