New In For Lips

Following on from my post last Thursday, there may have been a sneaky little fact that I kept from your lovely eyes ;) As you may have guessed, those Rimmel products were not the only items I snapped up in my recent Boots spree. Told ya my purse was possessed :P I would like to place the blame on the fact that Boots were running a 3 for 2 offer at the same time and I just had to add a couple more products into the mix to boost up my numbers. Understandable really considering the situation! To treat my lips and pay them a bit of attention I got a lip crayon (shock horror) and also a new lip balm that caught my eye from a rather enticing looking stand.

Let’s start with the obvious and none surprising lip product pictured above. Ladies and gentlemen this self confused beauty addict has finally, fin-ally, got her hands on a Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm. I know, take my time much? In all honesty this purchase was delayed as it’s clear I do not need another lip crayon in my life, but my resistance could not prevail and next thing you know, Elusive is mine. All the ravs are right on this one, a wearable pinky shade which holds the not so secret power of being matte as well. Not too drying on the lips this has an edge of sophistication that can be hard to find from a budget brand.

The curveball comes in the form of this PapayaGold Paw Paw Moisturising Balm. All the way from Australia this claims to give you soft and subtle lips and was something my chapped and dry lips couldn’t wait to slap on and see whether it delivered. Now it must be said, one of the first ingredients is petroleum. This means it is slick city and therefore doesn’t made the greatest treatment. What it does do however is apply a lovely sheen to the lips which, when paired with a matte lip pencil, can give it a whole new level of dimension. The enriched ingredient of Manuka Honey does help to sooth the lips but don’t expect any miracles to happen overnight.
