When it comes to nail brands an avenue that is new to me is from lacquer loving Leighton Denny. Stocked in Marks and Spencers and QVC this nail care offering will bring you a wide range of luscious varnishes and a bundle of nifty products to help keep your nails and your manicure in tip top shape. Known for their hero product, the Crystal Nail File, this has won a multitude of awards including the Instyle Best Beauty Buy and Harpers Bazzar Beauty Hot 100. The love behind this impressive crystal file lies within it’s ability to seal the cuticle of the nail to prevent the varnish from chipping or pealing away. It also looks pretty swanky in it’s aluminium box. Not only are Leighton Denny know for their filing abilities, they have also recently launched their International Collection for Spring/Summer 2014 which celebrates the fun when it comes to jet setting around the world. Made up of a selection of bright shades with a gorgeous nude thrown in for good measure, it’s no wonder this range has been a hit.
My top pick from the new release is the shade Mirage or Not which is the glamorous nude pictured above. A wearable shade that is suitable for a number of skin tones it’s hard not to be drawn to this divine colour as soon as you see it. I was slightly disappointed by the wear time of the varnish but I think paired with a base and top coat of my choice I could have extended the three days I got from it. Aside from nail varnished Leighton Denny have impressed me with their unique and innovative products. The Polish Reviver does exactly what it says on the tin and has saved a number of varnishes I was about to retire to the bin. A couple of drops mixed in and the nail polish is good as new. I also really like the Colour & Go Manicure Pens which is the perfect travelling friend. With your nail varnish on one end and the top coat/base coat on the other, fixing your manicure on the go has never been so easy.
