Oh February – you still amaze me how the shortest month in the year can introduce so many beauty lovelies into my life. With the sun up above starting to peer it’s bleary head through the clouds my skin is starting to perk back up again and makeup is starting to resemble something a tad more normal on my once dull and lacklustre skin. I’ve been reaching for the combination enhancers and vamping up the love when it comes to my tresses. Even though the days may be less it doesn’t stop me from switching things up and putting some new utterly fab finds to the test.
Bobbi Brown Illuminating Bronzing Powder in 2 Antigua* – This is the most unexpected love from the month. From the pan it doesn’t look to be my kinda thing, pink and subtle shimmer, gorgeous yes, but not my cup of tea. This was until I picked up a blush brush and popped some on the apple of my cheeks. Either worn alone or as a highlight on top of a blush, this gives the most gorgeous glow and colour to my cheeks and has become an almost daily application.
John Frieda Blow Out Lotion* – A bit of a sneaky addition as this hasn’t made it’s way onto my blog yet and I won’t say too much about it yet apart from the fact it has managed to impress not only me but also my fine and uninspiring hair. Aimed at transforming fine hair into salon quality volume this has quickly wangled it’s way towards the top of my hair care bundle.
Tarte Matte Waterproof Bronzer – Shocker this Tarte bronzer is making an appearance. Picked up in a sneaky USA haul thanks to a friend I have fallen for this matte bronzer that works perfectly as a contour in the hollows of your face or just as an all over bronzing powder to impart a bit of colour and warmth to your skin. The waterproof claim I am yet to test but this gets a big thumbs up from me.
Tarte Be MATTEnificent Amazonian Coloured Clay Matte Eye & Cheek Palette – Double shocked the palette I can’t stop talking about has also made an appearance. Everyone could see this coming a mile off but I am still head over heels for this palette and adore everything about it. The buttery soft and blendable shadows to the gorgeous blush colour and hand liner additions. Not the most travel friendly of the bunch but I’d give this up all for the massive mirror you get housed inside.
L’Oreal Ever Riche Absolute Oil Preciexu* – I’ve become a hair oil broken record but thanks to my dry tips and frizzing hair I’ve been through through the stuff by the bucket load. The latest addition is thanks to the L’Oreal Ever Riche range and this spray oil is lightweight yet hydrating all within on spritz. A small amount goes a long way and this works wonders without weighing down my lightweight hair.
