Boy are drugstores hitting out of the park at the moment! This may have something to do with the fact that Boots are conveniently holding a 3 for 2 offer across beauty brands (alongside numerous bonus point offers for advantage card holders) but I keep finding my wish list expanding with more beauty buys from the highstreet. From blushers to lipsticks to mascaras it’s hard not to get carried away with all the new releases and launches that are popping up on our doorsteps. Today I wanted to share with you a pick of the best bits I have recently snapped up and these items are already part of my daily makeup routine.
L’Oreal Collection Privée Lipstick in Julianne Moore – £8.19 – do you ever have one of those moments when you swatch something and as soon as your eyes cast across that small colouring on the back of your hand you knew it was meant to be? This is exactly what happened with this lipstick. I did not need another lipstick nor was I looking for a new one, but after a casual swatch I knew it had to be mine. The perfect everyday pink shade this is moisturising on the lips and lasts a good couple of hours before fading. Perfect paired with any makeup look this is lipstick perfection!
Bourjois Little Round Pot Cream Blush in Healthy Glow – £7.99 – the new cream to powder formulas that Boujois have released have got me all a flutter. This blusher offering is in a gorgeous peachy shade the helps to add life and colour to my cheeks whilst remaining natural and blendable. The powder finish ensures that these do not look wet or tacky on the skin and they don’t disturb any of the makeup you have already applied. You only need the smallest amount and it has been helping me look more alive on these cold Autumnal days.
Bourjois Colour Edition 24 Eyeshadow in 03 Petale de Glace – £6.99 – another cream to powder finish this has quickly become my go to eyeshadow pick in the mornings. Applied with either your finger or a brush, this seamlessly blends onto your lid to give a soft wash of colour that stays throughout the day. I find that if you load the brush up too much the formula can fall away so less is more when it comes to this shadow. The shade is a pinky toned colour similar to MAC’s All That Glitters but without the glitter and it can be worn alone or vamped up into a smokey eye.
