mac pink swoon – bought from a blog sale but RRP is £17 for mac
i picked up this little beauty from a blog sale charlotte was having before christmas. it was one of those impulse purchases when i wasn’t even sure if i would use the product but somehow i couldn’t resist it. this is a lovely soft matte baby pink colour which looks so pretty in the pan but can have a tendency to let you down as soon as you go to apply it. the issue is the colour is quite sheer. now this is perfect if you want a light wash of pink on your cheeks but i was worried that it would have the same fate as my benefit thrrrob (which i could get literally 0 colour payoff from)
i persevered and opted for a dense flat blush brush that worked great at really packing the colour on. it didn’t do it to the point where you end up looking like you’ve been slapped in the face with clown paint, but instead left my face with the loveliest ‘just had a winter stroll on cold day’ cheeks. in the winter i find that my face can easily look flat. this blush is perfect to give me a bit of life in the colder months and perk up my cheeks. it has been the blush i have reached for pretty much everyday since i got it and even when i have applied a different blush i always end up adding this afterwards onto the apples of my cheeks
