Back in the day, hauling a number of empty beauty products seemed to be the impossible task. With so much choice, option and with a plethora of new releases to continually try, seeing the bottom of the pan was a real achievement. Nowadays I’m become more loyal to my favourites meaning there is actually a regular need to repurchase those items I use up to the very last drop. I shared a recent batch of empties over on my Instagram Stories (follow me here @anyabelleblogs if you don’t already!) but I thought today I’d show you the latest roundup, including which products I’ve already repurchased!
One item that is no surprise is the Marc Jacobs Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer. This now marks the second bottle that I’ve used up and I’m ready & waiting to pickup my third. If you’re looking for a primer that brings the hydration, extends makeup wear whilst leaving the texture of your skin smooth & plump, look no further. Not only does it smell fab, the lightweight formula means I’ve been loyal to this primer since the very first day I picked it up.
The other makeup items running on empty are the Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer and the Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Illuminating Powder*. Longstanding readers of my blog will remember when I first introduced the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Concealer into my collection. It wasn’t love at first sight however I quickly became hooked on the hydrating coverage it offered, that was until Too Faced launched their hugely popular Born This Way range. I’ve been using their concealer in the Shade Light and it’s quickly pushed itself into the top spot. Firstly, the shade match is better, secondly it gives great coverage without sitting heavy on the skin or creasing throughout the day. Not only that, it’s a dream to blend into the skin.
Alongside concealer there is a new powder that’s about to hit the ‘ready to shatter’ stage. You see I’ve been loyal to my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder for years however recently it’s been this Rodial powder that I’ve been reaching for on the daily. In the Shade 01 this leaves a pearlescent glow to the skin meaning you get the benefit of a powder without those tell tale powder signs. It’s a pricey beast, can’t say I’m in a rush to repurchase however I have loved using it each day.
Next up, a haircare empty. Being somebody with naturally straight hair I need a range of texture inducing products to give it that lift & grit it so desperately needs. The TIGI Bed Head Queen Beach Salt Infused Texture Spray* does just that, beachy texture without feeling like you’ve thrown sand in your hair. I use on damp hair after washing which prevents my tresses from being quite so squeaky clean.
My final empty is the 1001 Remedies PurAir Purifying Spray. Made with 100% natural ingredients, this spray eliminates any environmental toxins or pollutants alongside any questionable smells that might be lingering. This quite literally purifies the air around you and I love this for keeping my flat smelling clean & fresh whilst ensuring the air is cleansed of toxins. My second bottle is already with the postman on it’s way and I can see this being a staple for many years to come.
