Now we all know I’m a fan of brunch. Whether that be poached eggs on avo, a full english or a spot of scrambled eggs with chorizo, I’m not fussy but I do love brunch. Not only is my favourite meal of the day, I love how restaurants aplenty are cottoning on to this vastly popular trend by not only offering a diverse menu, they’ve also developed the rather pleasing phase coined bottomless bunch. If you’ve never experienced once of these before they are brunch alongside all you can drink prosecco. Yes there are ‘time limits’ however I’ve never managed to escape such an affair without it being the late afternoon whilst I’m nursing a slightly fuzzy head.
Before you think I’m here today just to talk bubbles and fizz, I wanted to focus on the serious chat first, brunch. Specifically brunch at the Exhibit in Balham. Right opposite the station you’ll find a rather large venue that is home to not only a restaurant, but a cinema and social venue. Large in size there is plenty going on here alongside their weekend bottomless brunch offerings. Needless to say when I hear the words brunch and bottomless paired together in the same sentence, I’m there.
This was the agenda yesterday during the glorious sunny day. Not only were England facing off against Wales in the Six Nations, I had my own personal battle going on with some poached eggs featuring a side of chorizo. Whilst at the Exhibit you will experience an expanse menu, open kitchen upstairs with cocktails following once the bubbles start to dry out. The atmosphere is relaxed with locals, friends and even children’s birthday parties all happening at once. There is even a creative space for art and events to happen ad hoc. If you are looking for your next brunch spot, look no further, just remember to get a size of chorizo as it was blimming beautiful!
