Let’s all just take a moment to look at the perfection that is a Tom Ford fragrance. Have you ever seen anything more beautiful and perfect in your life? From the packaging down to the bottle with the gold embossed lid, this really is perfume personified and I could honestly stare at it all day. Before I get lost in a trance of blue and gold accents, let me introduce to you the beauty that is the new Tom Ford Neroli Portofino Collection. A selection of private blended scents that focus around the Mediterranean, get ready for your senses to be taken on a journey of whitewashed villas and sparkling blue seas.
A continuation of the original Neroli Portofino (which has also been revamped), there are two new additions in the mix: Mandarino Di Amalfi and Costa Azzurra. Starting off with the classic, Neroli Portofino* this has undergone a reinvention to capture the blue and green landscape of the Italian Riviera. Opening with citrus oils including Sicilian lemon and Italian bergamot, there is also a mixture of lavender, orange flower and amber to give this fragrance a rich scent. Although I usually go for sweet perfumes I’m on a mission to educate my nose into the school of the more sophisticated aromas and this is divine.
New on the scene, Mandarino Di Amalfi contains a mix of herbal ingredients such as spearmint, blackcurrant bud and tarragon with a selection of mandarin fruits and grapefruit to give a more citrus twist to the collection. Third up there is Costa Azzurra which combines juniper berry, myrtle and yellow mandarin with a selection of woody/oak notes and a hint of vanilla to give a deeper scent. Each bottle in the collection is a glass reflection of the sea along the Italian coast, all labeled with a gold plaque you know you are in for a treat as soon as one of these lands in your possession. Neroli Portofino is available in a 50ml, 100ml and 250ml bottle alongside a body moisturiser, body oil, shower gel and soap – now everyone can get their hands on some Tom Ford delights.
