The manicure faff – you either love it or you don’t. You have those people that relish in the time they spend on their nails and these types of people can usually be found with an intricate nail design on each finger. On the other end of the spectrum you also have those like me. We can be found with chipped nails and wonky edges thanks to a lack of interest in the manicure faff. I have been getting better with said DIY manicure and have even upgraded my standard routine to include cuticle care every once in a while. That being said, I don’t think I will ever be one of those people that pays an inordinate amount of attention on my nails. As perfecting my nail varnish application isn’t at the top of my priority list I am forever on the hunt for those items that helps to make a manicure last longer and prevents the need for me to fix up my nails.
This is where the CND Stickey Base Coat comes into play. The king of keeping nail varnish ‘stuck’ to your nails this is supposedly all you need to ensure your manicure lasts longer. With raves throughout the blogging land and an Instyle Beauty Award since 2005, you expect good things. I’ve been using this in conjunction with all my manicures for about a month now and so far I am impressed. Understandably this isn’t glue and chipping is bound to happen, however I’ve found this does give more longevity to my varnish of choice. The average three days is extended to a good four to five depending on how much I pick and play with my nails. Teemed with a decent top coat and you can be rest assured your manicure won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
