Apparently Clinique have some tricks up their sleeves when it comes to mascara. Apparently these tricks lie within their High Impact Range and these tricks are known to be so good that it makes some beauty bloggers and vloggers claim it reaches the much coveted HG status. I’ve never been one to want to try a Clinique mascara (bottom lash aside as yes, that really is HG material) however that was until, I tried one. Part of a makeup set that you make have seen on this exact blog last year, here in fact, came this much hyped mascara. The Clinique High Impact Mascara claims to give you maximum volume, definition and length all hidden away in a fairly unassuming tube and wand. This rather bland packaging may lead you down the garden path as after you try this mascara for yourself, the fuss becomes clear.
The wand is small enough to coat each and every lash but big enough to ensure your lashes don’t become stuck together. One coat and my lashes look longer and lifted. The results are pretty dramatic and, although this hasn’t immediately risen to my top spot and taken the HG crown away from my much loved L’Oreal preference, it has suitably impressed me. The only aspect I find it lets me down is within the volume department. Naturally my lashes are fairly long and therefore I tend to favour mascaras that pack a punch in the volume department as opposed to length. That being said this mascara has got me itching to try the Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara. A Grazia favourite, this mascara could be in the running to claim the top spot.
