When packing up my skincare bits for this trip away, at the forefront of my travel bag were these new pieces from Yon-Ka. A luxury skincare brand with a celebrity fan following from the likes of Victoria Beckham, Sienna Miller and Beyonce, Yon-Ka have recently released a range of products that gives your skin up to 144% more hydration. From a girl who has dehydrated skin and is currently sitting under a pretty bright sun, anything that can help to hydrate and nourish my pretty dry skin is worth a try in my books.
The Hydra N°1 Serum is a refreshing gel that you apply after cleansing and toning and before your moisturiser. It can be using morning and/or night and it is quickly absorbed into your skin. The activating complex within this serum replenishes your skins hydration levels and I find it helps my skin to look less dry, more plump and overall in better condition. This is marketed within the age defence section and has anti-aging properties however I am not able to to vouch for the effectiveness of these. A pricey number but for someone that suffers with dry skin in the Winter and on holiday this has been a saviour.
The second item from the range is the Hydra N°1 Creme. This is the moisturiser in the range that is meant to be used after the serum. Again this is very lightweight on my skin and although it does provide intense hydration it doesn’t sit heavy on my face. Alongside providing long-lasting hydration this also protects against environmental factors and overall helps to balance your skin. Containing hyaluronic acid, aloe vera and hazelnut oil you have all your bases covered. This does also contain shea butter but I haven’t found this addition to cause me to break out.
