Rimmel Salon Pro 313 Cocktail Passion – £4.49
I am back on the bargain beauty loving. Drugstores are hitting it out of the park at the moment and today I am bringing you another offering from the Rimmel Salon Pro Lycra range. I’ve previously reviewed their mint green shade Peppermint (which you can read all about here) but today is focusing solely on their orange/red addition.
Cocktail Passion is a gorgeous shade that is perfect on your nails or toes throughout this glorious Summer (clouds and rain please go away!) Although minty greens are my ultimate fav I do have a soft spot for these types of coral reds. They give a great kick of colour without being totally overpowering and looking neon. As I mentioned in my previous review I don’t find these polishes live up to their claim of a 10 day manicure, however their super thick brush and opaque finish more then makes up for this.
Most drugstore brands have recently jumped on the band wagon in terms of gel polishes that aim to extend the length of your manicure. Out of what I have put to the test the Barry M Hi Shine Gel Effect Polishes are my least favourite, instead storming ahead to pole position are the Maybelline Forever Strong range. Due to containing some utterly beautiful shades (hello Mint for Life) they win the crown of best drugstore long life nail varnish. These Rimmel offerings sit happily in the middle, they last well, do the job and come with some pretty great shade so you can’t go wrong.
Have you tried any of the long last nail varnishes before? What are your favourites?
