How people manage to constantly have different items in every monthly favourites edit they put together I will never know. I’m not sure whether I bore you by mentioning the same products on repeat or whether it shows my eternal love for them, but I’ve done my best to shake things up a bit this month (though you probably would have been able to guess what was going to pop up from my blog posts this month :P) What can I say when I fall for something I fall hard and all I want to do is sing it’s praises from the roof tops, yes I’m that dramatic ;)
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light – there really is nothing left to say about this apart from the fact it is utterly brilliant and has helped keep me foundation free since returning from holiday. I am hooked on the diffused finish it gives to my skin and love how it masks over any imperfections even when I am going sans base.
NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil* – this oil has been an absolute saviour when trying to care for my sun burnt and peeling skin. As you can see I have already guzzled my way through half a bottle as I have been applying it religiously night and day. You only need one spritz for each body part (i.e arm, leg etc) but because my skin has been so dehydrated I have been lathering it on.
Beauty Blender – on a whim one day in Sephora whilst away I snapped up a beauty blender, praised by numerous makeup artists this little sponge applicator can be used to apply foundation, concealer and powder. I wanted to see what all the hype was about so picked one up excited to give it a try. Before use you run it under a tap as it doubles in size and aids in the application process. I know in the beauty community this can be a bit hit or miss but I love it! Whether its a foundation, tinted moisturiser, BB cream or just concealer this effortlessly blends in the product to give a seamless finish. It gives a light coverage which is perfect for Summer and stops me from layering on everything too thick and heavy.
Kevyn Aucoin Precision Brow Pencil – I’ve been looking for the perfect eyebrow pencil for a while now and finally I think I’ve found the one. The Precision Brow Pencil from Kevyn Aucoin has a super fine pencil to draw individual hairs so you get definition without the Scouser brow look. I’ve read reviews that complain the pencil snaps but I’ve had no such problems with this and love the brush you get at the end of the pencil to ensure that there is no powder build up.
Maybelline Forever Strong Nail Varnish in Mint for Life – I think it’s safe to say that this is my new favourite nail varnish, it’s hardly left my nails since I picked it up and I even prefer it to the infamous Essie Mint Candy Apple. The perfect shade of minty green that lasts super long on your nails, what more could you ask for?
Boujois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Orange Punch – I raved all about this lip product last week on the blog and I love it so much I’ve already picked up another shade from the range. A lip crayon that gives you colour, hydration and gloss all in one – I cannot get enough!
Tarte Amazionan Clay Blush in Blissful – this has been my go to Summer blusher as it gives a lovely wash of pinky peach colour to the cheeks. Less intense then it’s coral sister Tipsy but just as long lasting on your cheeks, if only they would hurry up and bring Tarte to the UK shores.
