I apologise in advance that this post features products that you are unable to purchase in the UK – I know how cruel of me but don’t point the finger of blame in my direction, the culprits here are Bath & Body Works. How dare they think that it’s acceptable to create divine candles but only make them available across the pond?! Sort it out yeah ;) Aside from makeup one of the top items on my USA wishlist was the infamous Bath & Body Works Candles. Available in an array of fruity, fresh and limited edition scents there is something to tickle your nose buds.
The most popular candles are the impressive 3 wick ones that you can usually snap up in a 2 for $22 deal. They hold a burn time of approximately 30 to 45 hours and I could have easily taken at least four of them home to London but sadly baggage allowance was having none of it. Instead I did the next best thing and got three of the mini candles in a deal for $10 – bargain. The hardest part however was picking the scents, with so many to choose from I ended up having an internal debate for a good half an hour trying to decide what to get (much to my Mum’s amusement). I settled on the above three and guys, I gotta say, I love them.
My first pick was Watermelon Lemonade, a lovely summery scent that isn’t too sweet but gives that slight hint of freshly squeezed lemons. Next is Peach Bellini that smells just like the cocktail and has the perfect mixture of tartness and sweet. The final pick was Island Margarita and just like margarita’s smell this is salty and sweet and bursting with fruity goodness. These mini candles have a burn time of 10 to 15 hours which is pretty impressive considering their size. Needless to say I am hooked and am already planning my next trip overseas to stock up on more!
