Benefit Fakeup Hydrating Crease-Control Concealer – £18.50
On Wednesday I hopped, skipped and jumped over to Debenhams in Bournemouth Town Center to spend the afternoon in the Benefit Boutique with some BeneBabes and fellow Dorset based bloggers. The event was all about Benefit’s most recent product launch, Fakeup. With three different colours available this new concealer comes with a hydrating ring of Vitamin E to provide moisture whilst concealing dark circles. Personally I find Benefit’s current concealers (Boi-Ing & Erase Paste) too heavy for me so I was excited to try a new formula that would not only cover under my eyes but would also hydrate my skin. I was colour matched to the shade medium and found this to be the perfect match whilst I had a bit of a tan on my skin I thank you Clarins Liquid Bronze!
Throughout the afternoon we were shown the concealer and how with the three shades available it can be used to not only conceal, but also to highlight and contour your skin, very Kim Kardashian! I found this concealer to glide onto my skin and hold up pretty well against my under-eye bags. I preferred applying this with my ring finger as it warmed up the concealer and helped it to blend into my skin better. This concealer has been five years in the making as Benefit don’t bring a product to market unless their testers are happy, so you know it’s going to be good! There has been the same buzz around this concealer as there was about the launch of They’re Real! Mascara and so far I’m sold.
I had a really great time and it was lovely to be shown the concealer in action and be able to try it out. Big high five to Benefit for holding this in deepest, darkest Dorset as living outside London you can often miss the goings on. It’s nice to still be included and get to try out the latest products. Have you tried this concealer yet? What are your thoughts?
