Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover – £17.00
I’m a gal that likes her eye makeup. Even though I have stepped away from the days of bright smokey eyes and dramatic liner – I still like to pop on some colour each day and apply lashings of mascara. This can however become a bit of an issue when it comes to needing to remove said eye makeup. As you know I have been trialing out my fair share of micellar waters but even after using them, cleansing and then toning, there is still some remnants of mascara hanging around the side of my eyes. In the interest of not looking like a panda something had to be done! I haven’t used a separate eye makeup remover for a long time as back when I was using the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser it worked a treat at removing everything. However, my cleansers have changed and the need for something extra was required. Luckily for me (and my eyes) Clarins have just the ticket and thanks to a super lovely Mum this turned up on Valentine’s Day (what a sweetheart!)
The Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover works on waterproof and heavy makeup and is made up of a blue liquid which sits at the bottom with a separate clear liquid on top. Shake the bottle up to mix them both together and your good to go! Now this will sound like a cliche but it really does remove my eye makeup in one swipe. There is no need to tug at my eyes, no piles of cotton pads covered in mascara, one wash over your lids and your pretty much done! Obviously depending on the strength of your mascara and layers of eye shadow more then one delicate swipe will be required but I am super impressed at how much is removed initially. This also doesn’t run my makeup round my face making me look like I’ve got a black eye in the process. This feels really delicate on your eyes and no stinging or redness in sight. In the short time I’ve had it I already can’t imagine what I would do without it. If you need a new eye makeup remover in your life or something to remove the last traces of mascara, this is all you need!
