Dr Jart+ Water Fuse Beauty Balm Cream SPF 25 – £18.00
6-8 months ago I never thought I would be raving about a BB Cream on my blog, let alone wearing it as my base everyday. I sound like a broken record saying this as it’s all I’ve been going on about for the past couple of weeks, but I can finally hold my hands up and declare I am no longer a slave to foundation! I am (shock horror) happy with my skin and no longer feel the need to completely cover it up. This may have something to do with the fact that I have a 5 minute drive to work, spend my day in a windowless room with only computer screens and the odd lamp for light, and don’t foresee my knight in shining armor hurtling himself around the doorway! Since investing in skincare and being pretty darn impressed with the results it leaves I want to let my skin breathe and look more natural. I say embrace your skin, those little patches of redness on your cheeks (that will never go away!) are not all that bad, embrace the world of the lighter coverage!
The BB Cream that has got me hurtling all my foundations into the bin is the Dr Jart+ Water Fuse Beauty Balm Cream. I picked this up when it was on offer in Boots about a month ago but I would still rush out and pick it up with its £18 price tag. The only other BB Cream I have tried before is the Estee Lauder DayWear BB Cream which my Mum owns and, although I really liked it, I was still lusting for that fuller coverage. This is where the Dr Jart+ hits the home run, it is light on your skin yet provides good coverage to even out your skin tone. Bare in mind it is a BB Cream so your blemishes won’t be hidden but that’s nothing a spot of concealer can’t hide! I love the dewy and natural finish it gives to the skin and even for a former matte obsessed gal, I don’t powder on top. I find this has pretty good lasting power on the skin and you don’t get any of those tail tail fading signs that you do with foundation when it starts to give up the ghost. All of that with SPF 25 packed in too – what more do you need?!
Have you tried out this BB Cream? Would you be willing to bare it in just a BB?
