Recently I have been experimenting more with with my makeup in the mornings. It’s very easy to fall into a runt and instinctively reach for the same old products so it’s nice to shake things up a bit and reach for those beauty pieces that have found themselves pushed to the back. Whilst at home over Christmas I completely stripped my makeup back and hardly wore any eye makeup. I went back to basics and even started wearing a winged black eyeliner that I haven’t done for an absolute age. That eyeliner has made it’s way back to Bournemouth and alongside that is a love for my eyeshadows. In the above picture I am wearing a fairly neutral combo of the Origins GinZing Brightening Cream Eyeshadow in 03 Sugar Peach* and the Liz Earle Signature Eye Colour in 04 Twig*. I love how the subtle shimmer from the Origins Eyeshadow helps to open up my eyes and when paired with the Liz Earle Eye Colour (which is the perfect contour shade) it gives my eye shape and definition. Then with a black eyeshadow I added some colour to the base of my lash line to add a bit more depth and make my lashes appear fuller.
I kept the remainder of my face pretty simple. Popped on a light contour with the Liz Earle Natural Glow Bronzer* and just a dusting of my Laura Mercier Peach Whisper Blush on the apples of my cheeks. Then, to give that final ‘pop’ of colour I applied a layer of my new MAC lipstick in Brick O La to finish everything off.
