Ellis Faas Glazed Lips in L307 Sheer Deep Coral – £22.00
My lips have fallen in love. Ever since the Pixiwoo’s did a video all about Ellis Fass products (which you can find over here) I have been in awe. Stocked in Space.NK, Liberty and now the Selfridges Beauty Workshop section I always end up lingering around these counters and can be found swatching away in admiration of these truly beautiful products. Unfortunately though the price and strangely enough the packaging have put me off making that initial purchase. Standing at £22 for a lip product they are not a bargain purchase but boy are they luxurious! Cut to me on my birthday standing in the Beauty Workshop after spotting this beaut. The L307 Glazed Lips in Sheer Deep Coral. The swatch alone was enough to do it. It was love at first sight! A stunning coral colour that packs a bit of a punch but has that elements of sheerness so as not to make it too overpowering. Perfect for day and night this colour hasn’t left my lips since!
If you haven’t heard about Ellis Fass before she has been hailed as one of the most ‘influential makeup artists of her time’ by none other then Vogue Paris. From fashion designers, to magazine covers to some of the biggest runways in the world, Ellis has been there. She has created her own makeup line based on products she developed whilst working in the industry. The one thing that has put me off slightly is the packaging. All the products are packaged the same way, in a silver reflective almost bullet like pen that has a twist bottom to push the product out.
For a packaging obsessed individual it’s not an eye catcher, however for someone like Ellis it is very practical. As a working professional makeup artist Ellis likes to keep her kit very organised however her handbag would be another story, it was always impossible to find that one lipstick jumbling around at the bottom! To prevent this problem from happening the Ellis Fass brand contains two organisational saviours, the Ellis Holder and the Ellis Clip. The holder is a large tube that can house 7 Ellis Faas products with a mirror and powder in the lid. The clips connect the pen like products together so they can always be kept organised and easy to find. For an organised obsessed you can tell these tick my boxes! There are already a number of other things I have my eyes on from the brand with the Creamy Eyes being next on my list. I can already feel quite a strong Ellis Fass obsession happening!
Have you tried out an Ellis Fass products before? What do you think of their packaging?
