As I’m sure your already sick of me saying last Friday saw my parents and I dash of for a whirlwind one night stop in Paris. We went to visit some family friends from America and I popped along with one major thing in mind – French Pharmacies! I didn’t have a list as such before I went, I just put some money aside and let my senses do the buying! Luckily for me our hotel and base for the time in Paris was quite close to Rue Four where the infamous City Pharm is located. I say infamous as this is the pharmacy that Lisa Eldrige recommends going to! The store is filled with products and there are aisles and aisles of French beauty. As this store is so well known it is packed and when I was there it was mainly filled with Japanese tourists with mega long lists stocking up on hundreds of pounds worth of products! What I also found upon further investigation of other pharmacies is that City Pharm was cheaper on a lot of products. You don’t seem to get a handful of samples but the prices are a few Euros less.
The above photo is everything that I picked up whilst trawling through the aisles of skincare amazing-ness! I will list everything with their Euro price that I paid and try and link to a UK equivalent =)
Nuxe Reve de Meil Ultra Comfortable Face Cream for Night – €19.99/£22.50
Bioderma Sebium Mat Anti-Shine Moisturiser – €6.80 (on offer, usually €8.50)/£15.75
Lavera Body Spa Rose Garden Body Lotion – €7.90/£8.45
Nuxe Reve de Meil Lip Moisturising Stick – €3.90/£5.50
Nuxe Gentle Toning Lotion – €9.95/£13.50
Avene Eau Thermale Thermal Spring Water – €2.70/£3.15
Caudalie Beauty Elixr – €8.90/£9.90
Lierac Diopticerne – €13.90/£14.00
As you can see you do get some pretty decent savings buying direct in France. The Bioderma moisturiser I could only find on eBay and the Lierac eye cream seemed impossible to find online! Everything else you can pretty much get directly from Feel Unique however you will end up spending a little bit more. I am really happy with everything I have got and am already excited to try everything out! I have been using the Nuxe toner since I bought it and it’s really refreshing and great at removing any last traces of makeup. The Nuxe lip balm smells incredible and is really moisturising and the Avene spring water was an impulse buy but feels great on the skin and is a cheaper and less skincare benefiting alternative to the Caudalie. Already I am wishing I had bought backups of some of the products as having to repurchase in the UK is a bit pricey – but hey maybe I will just have to go back to Paris instead :P
