Pixi Lip Blush

Pixi is a brand that I have loved for a fair few years. With their store housed just off Carnaby street they are one of those places that I always make sure I make a stop off at so I can look at and swatch through everything to my hearts content. Even though I only own a few key pieces from Pixi, the fact that they are now stocked in Boots means they are more easily available and there are many more temptations to buy! One of my favourite items from Pixi is their Lip Blush*. Almost like a felt tip pen the nib on this product gives you a lovely soft wash of colour to your lips. I thought this Lip Blush would be really drying but surprisingly you get a decent amount of moisturise from the nib of the pen and the colour applies really easily and evenly to the lips.The colour I have pictured above is Number 2 – Purity which is a sheer nudey tone that adds a hint of colour to your lips. What’s great about these Lip Blushes is that they are long lasting like a lip stain yet still give a good colour payoff that is matte on the lips. I find these Lip Blushes are perfect for layering onto your lips and make a great base for a lipgloss or sheer lipstick. I don’t find that this product dries my lips out however I do think that a coat of your favourite lip balm before hand wouldn’t go a miss. I also noticed that if your lips are dry to start with you can get slight pigmentations of colour dotted around your lips which you can see slightly in the picture below.
